Ahh the weekend is here. Now that I’m living in New York the term “lazy” just doesn’t apply. Lazy now is walking three miles, checking out the new shiny objects at one of the museums, catching a movie, working out, and reading a comic book. That’s pretty much what Saturday’s are like.
How great is it when something you used to do for no good reason (other than sheer entertainment) becomes a core part of your job. That’s me and reading comic books. By all standards I’m still a casual enthusiast (as opposed to a full-blown comic-junkie). I really started reading them again after about a 12 year hiatus. It was really the DC Infinite Crisis Event and the (then new) Superman movie that brought me back. Currently, I can be seen reading: Action Comics, Superman, Detective Comics, Batman, Legends of the Dark Knight, Justice League, JSA Classified, Countdown, Amazing Spiderman, Initiative, and Iron Man. I’m also known to pick up the occasional tie-in and limited run special.
